The Henfield Spiritual Centre was formed on 14th December 1997, formaly known as The Henfield Spiritual Church which was founded in 1963.
We are a centre not a church. We wish to attract as many people from all walks of life to us. Our aim is to help everyone to explore their spirituality and form their own beliefs. If we play just a small part in someone’s journey then we will have fulfilled our role.
So many people now are thinking that there must be more to life than their everyday experience and feel some part of them is unfulfilled despite having more material possessions and creature comforts than any previous generation.
It is our belief that there is a huge untapped potential for spiritual growth in our community. Everyone has the seed of spirituality planted in their hearts at birth or even conception but that seed is not germinating because it has no attractive or obvious source of nourishment.
We are all brought up in a scientific environment now and proof is all. Blind faith is no longer a valid form of persuasion. People must be allowed to see for themselves that there is more to life than what they can physically see, hear and touch.
We hope that our centre will allow those to explore the possibility of a higher purpose or greater meaning to their lives.
